CARP Public Meeting Scheduled for K-W in April

March 19, 2010 The first social seminar, to encourage networking, education and support for the local Chapter, is scheduled for Wednesday April 21st at 6:30 pm in Kitchener-Waterloo. Complete details will be available in the next two weeks. The proposed topic deals with technology in every day lives of older adults, including using the internet and mobile communications. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. Bring a friend - as well, please consider bringing a friend who may be interested in the topic and meeting volunteers involved in the bright future for the CARP Kitchener-Waterloo & Area chapter.
Committees and Volunteer Engagement In the near future, the acting Interim Board of Directors will be seeking volunteers for leadership roles and engagement in various committees. Please consider getting involved - all volunteers welcome and there are big and small roles available.
Next Meeting for Interested Volunteers The next meeting of the interim Board of Directors, and other interested volunteers, is scheduled for Tuesday morning March 23 at 9:00 am in Kitchener. Agenda items will include: - final discussion on the Chapter draft By-law
- continuing work on the Organizational structure
- plans for upcoming "members and public" meetings, seminars
- strategies for engaging members in committee opportunities
- other, as appropriate for Chapter 25
